HyperVTools v1.5 is out in the wild

Hello friends, I wanted to give you a heads up that v1.5 is now available for use. Although the change log is very minimal, in reality there was a lot of refactoring code that took place and with it comes even better compatibility with Windows Server 2008/2008r2.

As I get further into development of this utility, I am a starting to realize how unprofessional it might look and feel. As a solution I am working on a better interface and although I do not have a prototype that I can share at this moment, let me tell you that it is coming along very well and surprisingly it is looking pretty slick….at least to me 🙂

As always, thank you for visiting and see you next time!

  1. HyperVTools upgrade suggestion.

As an option when login unto the HyperV Cluster, then return cluster name and return all VMs and hosts in that cluster.

Also would be great if you can return the IPAddresses of each Cluster name as well and each VM on each Host. as well as the host to.. What do you think? thanks…

    1. Hey Roger, thank you for your comment from previous message, I am glad you are finding a use for this tool. Clustering is a feature I wanted to add but my environment is not setup for it yet as I do not have the appropriate hardware. I will dig through my gear to see if I can bring up another Hyper-V host and get this feature added.

    1. Hey Ken, RVTools by robware.net was the inspiration for this tool (hence the same look/feel). I haven’t had a chance to work on HyperVTools because I have some life events going on that are taking up most of my free time. I’ll add this suggestion to the to-do list, thank you for stopping by. Your support is very much appreciated, thank you!
